I'd like to have the ability to remove an emoji from a remote instance all together. I know that mastodon supports this feature, essentially either replacing the emoji with the placeholder icon OR just not resolving it at all showcasing :example:

This feature is important to me for a number of reasons. First of all, not everyone in the fediverse has a consensus of sexually explicit emojis, whether something is suggestive is really subjective. I caused quite a stir with the "neocat_woozy_pregnant" because instances realized that no, they cannot defederate emojis. There is also the fact that I have seen abusive emojis in the past, mainly when it comes to rapidly changing colors (high frame rate emojis). I have people who are photosensitive on my instance and I would prefer to keep providing them an inclusive space.
