Akko seems to not use websockets at all, instead polling the timeline endpoints.

There's a hidden setting to enable it. Should be under "Receive posts and notifications real-time" in settings once you enable Show Advanced

Can you check what metadata we need to set for chuckya-fe to know bubble is configured?

my version of chuckya-fe predates the bubble timeline being introduced. i assume there isn't any and it just expects it to always be there (on the versions that do have it)
